Ealing & Acton
Ealing has long been known as "The Queen of the Suburbs", with its many fine old buildings, complemented by exciting new private and civic projects. There are ample open spaces to enjoy, including Ealing Common with its splendid chestnut trees, the fine vistas from Horsenden Hill, plus numerous parks throughout the borough.
Transport links are good, with easy access to central London, Heathrow Airport, and the M4 and M40 motorways. Sport is also well catered for: Brentham Club, situated in a parkland setting alongside the river Brent, offers a wide variety of activities. Ealing Cricket Club and Ealing Golf Club both offer good sporting and social facilities.
Ealing has some excellent state and public schools, and Thames Valley University is located near the town centre. Questors Theatre enjoys a high reputation, and Ealing hosts an annual summer Jazz Festival in Walpole Park. There is something for everyone in Ealing - just pick and mix according to your taste!
